**First Principle – Acknowledgement of Country (land, sea* and sky)**

One acknowledges the Traditional Owners/Custodians of Country (land, sea and sky) throughout Australia and recognises First Nation’s peoples’ continuing connection to land, waters, sky, kin, culture and community. One pays One’s respect to Elders, past, present and emerging. One acknowledges the significant cultural, social, spiritual and economic contributions that First Nations people have made and continue to make to One’s Country and Australia.

Shawn is a Senior Butchulla (Badtjala) Man and Cultural-Spiritual Advisor, Thought Leader, Change Maker and Philanthropist who belongs to the Butchulla (Badtjala) First Nation’s people of K’gari (Fraser Island) and the Fraser Coast, Queensland – Australia.

*All references to ‘sea’ include all bodies of water.
